Supply Chain Manager

Role Overview

Reporting to the NA Specialties Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Manager – DHT (Downhole Technology) is responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing working capital initiatives for Downhole Technology products manufactured and sold at the Bridgewater, Taunton, and Houston facilities.  This role collaborates cross-functionally with Logistics, Operations, Procurement, and Commercial teams to drive production goals, forecast accuracy, and execution strategies aligned with the SIOP process. Travel will vary but is expected to average 10–20%.

Key Responsibilities:

Production, Demand Planning, and Inventory Management

Lead the Supply Chain team with a focus on safety, performance, and fostering a positive work environment.Adopt, implement, and standardize planning, scheduling, and inventory processes using SAP and Fiori systems.   Collaborate with Supply Chain Process and Local IT teams to implement and enhance demand planning and capacity utilization tools.Oversee DHT plant logistics (Taunton & Bridgewater) to develop and execute production schedules that align with customer demand and working capital goals (e.g., DIO and slow-moving inventory).Own the monthly Forecast and S&OP processes, ensuring daily follow-up to keep production on track.Drive supply chain strategies to reduce lead times and improve operational efficiency.Partner with Commercial teams to manage order fulfillment and ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets are met.Work closely with HSE, Quality, Engineering, and Production to promote safety, maximize output, minimize WIP, and reduce scrap.Support month end inventory at Bridgewater facility.

Process Improvement & Cost Optimization

Identify and implement automation and digital transformation opportunities within supply chain operations.Apply Lean Manufacturing and Just-in-Time (JIT) principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.Analyze operational data to uncover inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure all supply chain activities adhere to industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies for supply disruptions and raw material price volatility.Travel Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in wire and cable manufacturing or a related industrial environment.Strong understanding of raw material sourcing (metals, polymers, insulation materials) and manufacturing processes.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.Strong negotiation and decision-making capabilities.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across functions.APICS and Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
