The Opportunity -

The AH-64E Apache is the world's most advanced and proven attack helicopter. It integrates innovative technologies to aid the crew in decision making, offering a new level of battlefield dominance through enhanced performance, increased situational awareness, superior survivability, and improved target detection, acquisition and engagement.

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager, to join the team in the Apache Support Facility.  The Australian Apaches will join the growing global fleet of more than 1280 aircraft operating in 18 countries, including coalition and regional partners.

This role is based in Townsville working alongside the Army customer.

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will:

Be an integral part of the Supply Chain Capability and contribute to the business growth strategyLead supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectationsManage and monitor supplier quality, delivery and financial performanceManage and mentor supply team delivery and performance against agreed outputsLead the development of mitigation plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting the supply chainDevelop and implement supplier base plans to support supply chain optimizationAnalyses supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate into the BDA supply chain 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

Demonstrated 5 years + experience in Defence aerospace/Foreign Military Sales (FMS) supply chain managementExperience in Defence warehousing and distribution systems and methodologiesA superior knowledge of the Australian Defence Force Electronic Supply Chain Manual and the application ofConduct strategic workforce planning including the provision of resources to meet multiple project demandsThe ability to work with a high level of autonomy in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skillsDemonstrated experience in identifying, establishing and promoting supply process improvements
