Key Responsibilities
Supervise the Production Planning, Scheduling and DC Team in Marion with responsibilities that include Materials Planning, Master Scheduling, Production Planning / Coordination, Shop Floor Scheduling, and Shipping.
Responsible for meeting and exceeding critical operational KPI’s such as safety (TRIR), cost, production vs. forecast (hours and metric tons), right the first time, working capital & DIO, OTIF and employee productivity, etc.Procure and manage the flow of raw materials using the MRP functionality within the plants ERP system (HFA and SAP) with support from Corporate Purchasing.Partner with Procurement and Central Planning to develop risk mitigation strategies for supply disruptions and price volatility in raw materials.Effectively manage distribution operations including warehousing, inventory control, transportation, supplier management, quality, and customer service.Ensure accurate inventory control and planning; coordinate and supervise physical inventory take on a monthly cadence. Participate, as needed, in continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, and other process improvement techniques.Support ad hoc request of commercial and central planning team members such as production prioritization and recovery efforts, quality, and claims issues, etc. Ensure all supply chain activities comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.Promote and ensure a safe and environmentally compliant work environment.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or operations management, logistics, business, engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Operations management; wire and cable manufacturing, a related industry, and/or manufacturing environment preferred.2-3 years of people / team management experience with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization from hourly associates to senior management. Strong knowledge of raw material sourcing (metals, polymers, insulation materials) and manufacturing processes.Proficient user of Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and supply chain analytics tools.Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.APICS and Six Sigma Certifications are a plus.Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
