Supply Chain Manager

**The Position:**
Boehringer Ingelheim is looking for a **Supply Chain Manager** , for our **Southern Africa** region. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible to lead and develop the local supply chain team in line with our values, and align with cross functional teams to develop S&OP process. Initiate and lead improvements in supply chain strategies and trade channel management.
The job holder will be reporting to Head of Finance & Administration, Southern Africa.
**Tasks & responsibilities:**
+ Manage and improve S&OP for Human Pharma & Animal Health, facilitate in creation of monthly demand plan by aligning with internal & external parties.
+ Govern end-to-end inventory planning while adhering to defined stock targets, balancing costs, and availability.
+ Manage end-to-end O2C process in line with corporate guidelines with target of high level of customer service.
+ Lead and develop local supply chain team to improve team member’s performance and foster strong training culture.
+ Manage logistics preparation and execution in preparation of launch.
+ Administer local 3PL/4PL partners, track and safeguard local distribution.
+ Build strong networks with internal and external stakeholders.
**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s degree, MSc / MBA would be an advantage.
+ Minimum 5-7 years in end-to-end Supply Chain Management; experience in a multinational life science or FMCG, preferably in South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa region.
+ APICS, PMI or Prince 2 certifications preferred.
+ SAP experience is a must.

+ Excellent knowledge of commercial processes.
