Job Title: Logistics Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Logistics Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining key operating indicators, metrics, and reports that demonstrate functional areas and vendor performance. You will play a crucial role in driving supply chain decisions by overseeing freight, logistics, and warehouse expenses, and working closely with other functional areas such as Sales and Marketing.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain key operating indicators, metrics, and ad-hoc reports to evidence functional areas and vendor performance.Propose and implement process improvements or corrective actions based on results to achieve goals and objectives.Oversee freight, logistics, and warehouse expenses to drive supply chain decisions.Analyze freight costs in conjunction with other functional areas to ensure enterprise-wide profitability.Initiate insurance claims for goods damaged in-transit, compiling and structuring the required financial and freight documentation and information.Maintain current freight charges for outbound instrument and consumable sales shipments.Provide freight quotes for multiple functional areas and coordinate ad-hoc shipments as required by the business.Research and resolve customer complaints related to products delivered outside of viable conditions and warehouse deliveries identified by the Quality department.Lead and/or support supply chain and trade compliance projects addressing packaging, carrier options, sustainability, waste elimination, and cross-border efficiencies.Present key results and strategic initiatives to leadership.Essential SkillsA minimum of 5 years' experience in global supply chain roles or equivalent years of education and experience.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Supply chain certifications such as CPIM, APICS, PMP (preferred).Experience in international logistics.Exposure to highly regulated business environments.Experience in a GMP environment.SAP experience (preferred).Exceptional analytical acumen.Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal).Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, CRM).Ability to work across functional disciplines and with minimal supervision.Strong commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.Work Environment

The position is based on a hybrid schedule with three days onsite and two days remote out of our Gaithersburg office. Working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The team structure includes a director and three additional team members. This role offers an opportunity for temporary employment, with the possibility of a permanent position based on performance and headcount availability.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54.00 - $64.00/hr.
