Hexcel is currently seeking a Supply Chain Director to be located in any of our USA Hexcel location – Amesbury, MA; Burlington, WA; Casa Grande, AZ; Decatur, AL; Kent, WA; Pottsville, PA; Seguin, TX; or Salt Lake City, UT.
You will lead all Supply Chain activities across our U.S. and global fiber manufacturing sites. This highly visible role is responsible for both operational supply chain/service excellence and the delivery of strategic Supply Chain change. This includes the identification, positioning and implementation of global best practices in Enterprise-wide planning, business process integration, assets scheduling, inventory, logistics and service management.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
Responsible for developing, defining, communicating and executing supply chain strategies and capabilities.Lead global, multi-function teams to support supply chain objectives based on business plans. Coordinate supply, manufacturing and delivery systems to ensure the optimization of customer service, cost, inventories, quality, cycle time and delivery.Develop the logistics and distribution strategy to ensure customer needs are met within cost and working capital standards.Establishment and management of supply chain/logistics management policies and procedures.Accountability and ownership for the Sales and Operations Planning process (SiOP) and the effective management of the master production planning and scheduling process.Oversight of supply planning and ensuring demand is met.Implement robust, best practices through active participation in the SIOP process.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field required; MBA preferred, with 15+ years in Operations, Supply Chain, and or Logistics.Experience in complex manufacturing or continuous process environments; Operations Management background strongly desired.CSCP or CPIM APICS certification is highly beneficial.Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to influence across matrix organizations.Excellent communication skills in both individual and group settings; multi-cultural understanding essential.Proven success in continuous improvement initiatives; Lean and Six Sigma experience preferred.Demonstrated ability to lead improvement programs across multiple sites and act as a change agent.Skilled in managing competing priorities within a matrix organization; culturally aware and diplomatic.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with solid business acumen and a results-driven mindset.Must be eligible for a DOD Security Clearance and willing to travel up to 50%.
