Job Responsibilities:

About the Role: The Supply Chain Data Analyst will support the Director of Indirect and Purchasing System Manager with strategy research and negotiation planning assistance.  This person will also work with our Global Spend Analytics and Quality Platform databases, in support of effective use of big data.  In addition to working with established databases, a key outcome for this position will be collection and analysis of indirect spend data (services, MRO, equipment, etc.) that currently exists in independent, unconnected systems as well as from the Supplier source.

This position will be targeted as a growth position within the Purchasing and Supply Chain function, with upward mobility potential regionally or globally.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain and Enhance Supplier Management Systems: Oversee and improve existing Supplier management tools, including the MRO Price Analysis Report and GSA4i, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.Support Data Management Strategy: Collaborate with the System Manager to develop and implement data management strategies tailored to each Indirect Category Manager.Supplier Data Coordination: Work directly with Suppliers to gather and organize data related to Magna purchases, creating detailed reports as needed to support business needs.Supplier Cost and Quote Analysis: Actively participate in Supplier cost and quote analysis and support negotiations, as required, to ensure competitive pricing and cost savings.Enhance Data Quality: Establish tools and processes to monitor and improve data quality Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders: Interface regularly with Category Managers and Plant Purchasing Teams to ensure alignment on goals, initiatives, and Supplier Management strategies.Enhance Internal Communication: Develop and implement processes to improve internal communication and collaboration across teams, ensuring smooth information flow through various channels.Develop Submission Procedures: Assist in creating and refining procedures for accurate and timely divisional submissions of indirect spend data, ensuring compliance and efficiency.Software and Database Feedback: Provide feedback on software and database tools to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities, supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or Information Technology required. 3+ years of Supply Chain experience and Data Analytics experienceProficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPointAdvanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI (DAX) skills required. Professional verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

Master’s degree in supply chain, Business, Data Science, or related discipline with procurement experience in Systems and Data Management Knowledge and experience with data analysis tools such as, Python, Tableau, SQL, etc.
