Supply Chain Analyst

Summary:


The Procurement/Supply Chain Analyst supports the commercial operations team by developing accurate and competitive quotes for sales opportunities. This role works closely with sourcing, procurement, planning, and manufacturing teams to determine costs, lead times, and feasibility. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, works well cross-functionally, and has a solid background in supply chain management.

Responsibilities:

Build detailed and competitive quotes for valve manufacturing opportunities, aligned with customer requirements and company capabilities.

Analyze material costs, supplier pricing, and other cost drivers to support accurate quote estimates.

Determine realistic production lead times by coordinating with planning and manufacturing teams.

Collaborate with sourcing, procurement, planning, and manufacturing to gather data and resolve discrepancies.

Use supply chain data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve quote accuracy.

Communicate with suppliers to get pricing, availability, and lead time information.

Identify supply chain risks (e.g., material shortages, delays) and propose solutions.

Improve processes for cost estimation, lead time forecasting, and team coordination.

Maintain accurate records of estimates, supplier communications, and quotes. Provide regular project updates.

Requirements:

Minimum 3–5 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.

Able to analyze complex data, including cost structures and production schedules.

Skilled at identifying issues, finding root causes, and implementing solutions.

Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.

3+ years in supply chain, procurement, or related roles, preferably in manufacturing.

Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), MS Excel, and analytics tools.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in cost and lead time estimates.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Experience with valve manufacturing or industrial products.

Certifications such as CPIM or CSCP are a plus.
