Discover Impactful Work:
To carry out the on-site product inventory maintenance and optimization of the Supply Center and support eBusiness initiatives. Supply Center Specialists work closely with the Thermo Fisher Sales Team to optimize the inventory and customer experience of these onsite stocking programs to ensure continued growth of Supply Centers!
A Day in the Life:
Working at one of Thermo Fishers’ largest volume and highest service level customer locations, the SCS is responsible for ongoing inventory, mix optimization, and customer experience to ensure Supply Center annual growth goals are met, including:
Maintaining inventory and storage units (e.g. receiving deliveries, unpacking stock, restocking, rotating inventory "first-in-first-out, cleaning unit, performing physical inventory and maintaining visual ID and branding standards)
Ordering inventory (e.g. use SCMS or manual systems for collecting daily sign-out sheets or forms, compiling a list of depleted inventory, placing restocking orders and adding new products as needed)
Ensure the accurate product mix within the Supply Center to match the needs of the customers
Maintain merchandising standards, branding standards, and accurate inventory quantity and product mix and maintain equipment condition
Proactively seek feedback and look for opportunities to improve our business relationships both internally and externally
Respond to customer inquiries, maintain customer lists, reports, and records
Provide real-time customer and competitive intelligence to support teams and colleagues on a regular basis
Support eBusiness initiatives by sharing account specific knowledge and improving key account relationships
Implement and assist with product shows, seminars, on-site promotions, and other on-site promotional events tied to Supply Center
Complete all required training
Will perform other related duties as the need arises and/or assigned including training backfill SCSs and new hires
Keys to Success:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field preferred.
Experience/Requirements
2+ years of proven experience in customer service, sales, research & development or other related field (equivalent combinations of education and relevant work experience may be considered).

Working Conditions
Works hours must be performed during normal business hours to match delivery times and customer hours.
Daily car travel to and from account locations is required.
Is required to lift up to 50 lbs.
May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing work duties.
Must work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $19.64–$29.46.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
