Supplier Quality Manager

The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for planning and executing food safety & quality assurance processes and programs for Shamrock Foods co-manufacturing and suppliers. They will work closely with the quality assurance team and other business units to define and manage high quality and food safety standards. They will ensure continued compliance and regulatory standards as well as third-party and customer FSQA requirements.

Essential Duties:

\n\nServe as an internal FSQA resource on food safety regulations, laws, policies and procedures of FDA, USDA and other regulatory entities for co-manufacturers and suppliers\nAssess suitability of co-manufacturers and suppliers considering requirements to ensure regulatory and food safety requirements \nCreate and implement agreements with co-manufacturers (GMRs) and suppliers \nPerform audits of co-manufacturer and supplier quality and food safety \nSupport the development and implementation of the FSQA strategy, goals, and objectives\nDrive simplification and standardization of FSQA process to ensure a continuous improvement mindset across the enterprise \nProvide FSQA support for product safety and quality issues (specification, complaint, recall/withdrawal, etc.)\nAnalyze and report co-manufacturer and supplier food safety data, metrics and trends to monitor and drive continuous food safety performance improvement\nSupport the development and maintenance of the co-manufacturer and supplier quality programs; manage on-boarding, evaluations and audits, policies and procedures, etc.  \nCreate and maintain training materials and operating manuals\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n

Qualifications:

\n\nBachelor’s degree in science (Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field)\n5+ years of experience in food safety & quality assurance\n2+ years managing others, projects or programs\nWorking knowledge of regulatory compliance with USDA, FDA, CFR, and managing third-party auditing schemes (For Example: GFSI, SQF, GMP, Food Code).\nAbility to review regulatory requirements, evaluate compliance, and implementing change\nExperience with regulatory inspections\n30% travel anticipated and required\nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.\n\n
