Job Description
The Quality Engineering Technician plays a key role in supporting inspection activities, evaluating product quality, updating documentation, and assisting operations. This position helps ensure that manufacturing and engineering processes meet high standards of reliability and performance.
ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and documentation to assist production teams.Contribute to the development and refinement of quality control plans, inspection protocols, and measurement documentation.Support process verification and qualification efforts to confirm compliance with requirements.Provide guidance to operations teams regarding technical specifications and process expectations.Investigate and resolve product and equipment issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.Manage the selection and procurement of inspection tools and equipment through established approval processes.Participate in additional quality-related tasks as assigned.Apply sound judgment and discretion in addressing quality matters.Maintain consistent attendance and be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends when needed.Essential SkillsAudit experience for evaluating supplier processes and ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.Understanding of quality systems like ISO 9001 or AS9100 for quality control, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance.0–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including raw material handling and assembly.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience working directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues and enforce standards.Ability to communicate and collaborate with external partners to maintain strong relationships.Team-oriented approach in a dynamic environment.Experience in aerospace manufacturing and SAP knowledge is a plus.Work Environment
This role operates in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing setting, where precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement are key. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $42.00/hr.
