Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Title: Aerospace Supplier Quality Engineer- Windsor, CT

Job Description

Join our Windsor, CT team as a Quality Engineer and play a pivotal role in coordinating product assurance procedures and ensuring product compliance. This position requires a specialized combination of skills, knowledge, and ability to ensure the business meets its annual goals and complies with ISO9001/AS9100 standards.

ResponsibilitiesApply strong knowledge of quality systems to develop and improve systems and products.Collaborate with customers during on-site scheduled audits and visits.Solve problems and troubleshoot using good judgment, interfacing with other departments and suppliers.Ensure thorough root cause and corrective action for all nonconformances on assigned customer products.Communicate issues or opportunities for improvement and recommend process improvements.Participate actively in quality management teams within the organization.Support production needs for customer programs.Lead internal teams on corrective action and improvement activities.Contribute to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook.Coordinate customer needs across multiple sites.Prepare and present necessary information for Management Reviews.Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements.Foster positive relationships with internal and external customers.Essential SkillsStrong understanding of Quality Management Systems.Proficiency in 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Analysis, and Lean methodologies.Ability to apply 5S, Supplier Quality principles, and Corrective Action Plans.Experience with work instruction and standard operating procedures.Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as an Engineering Intern or Quality Intern.Knowledge of Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Set-up Reduction, and Six Sigma.Associates Degree in Engineering is considered.Work Environment

Located in Windsor, CT, the company employs approximately 160 personnel, focusing on the design, development, manufacture, and support of engineered mechanical actuation and components for commercial and military aircraft systems. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
