Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

We are in position to offer a great job opportunity to work as Supplier Quality Engineer, based in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuhua. E-Systems Division). 

As Supplier Quality Engineer your objective will be: Responsible for daily supplier quality activities, including quality-related issues, problem notifications, containment actions, corrective action resolution, RMA requests, and cost recovery. Also responsible for the review and closure of supplier corrective actions.

Your tasks will be:

Investigate quality issues related to components reported on the production line, with support from QE, IE, PE, and Materials teams to ensure accurate problem descriptions. Gather information for issuing QNs, with support from employees/inspectors, including details on origin, point of use, traceability, and part history (in case of recurring issues). Accurately draft and issue the QN, prepare and send the Lear Alert, and contact the supplier to understand notification and containment requirements. Coordinate containment of nonconforming material, when necessary (supplier, plant, warehouse/distribution center, customer), under the supplier’s responsibility. Review root cause analysis with the supplier for open QNs, ensuring appropriate tools are used to identify the true root cause. Review corrective actions through to validation. Evaluate containment levels CS-I and CS-II to identify recurring or critical issues. Consolidate quantities of nonconforming material, request RMAs from the supplier, and manage approvals/returns. Consolidate quality-related costs incurred by the plant for recovery from the supplier. Analyze plant data, issue the charge, and submit it to Finance. Request and conduct meetings with suppliers, plants, and other affected parties (including customers) to resolve issues. Escalate QNs or containment support requests to SDE/Purchasing Center due to poor supplier response, Lear-wide issues, or legal/customer complications. Generate metric and performance reports.

To Be Successful In This Role You Must Have

Education: bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, or any related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse area. Experience preferred on wire harness industry. Knowledge in AIAG, APQP, IATF, Core tools. Advanced English Level (bilingual) Availability to travel.
