Chart Industries is looking for a **Supplier Quality Engineer** for our office in The Woodlands, TX. We are open to a hybrid schedule for this role.The supplier quality engineer is responsible for ensuring adherence to quality and technical requirements for assemblies and components sourced within the Chart E&C supply chain. **_What Will You Do?_** + Providing technical expertise in quality assurance, quality control, inspection and requirements on purchased parts for LNG / process equipment for cryogenic gas plants, piping and skidded systems + Analyzing quality and dimensional data including feedback and corrective action analysis + Evaluating suppliers, conducting assessments for overall quality systems (ISO 9001/equivalent), capability, work processes and continuous improvement, identification and resolution of non- conformances, corrective and preventive actions + Providing supplier development training concerning quality improvement, effective quality management systems, and optimizing scorecard performance + Working with internal cross-functional teams for capture and implementation of best practices + Participating in internal and customer audits, driving findings to closure in a timely manner + Review and validate actions on inspection reports + Review of drawings, P&IDs, data books, welding procedures, material test reports, and supplier testing procedures for compliance to specifications + Perform P&ID walkdowns, review fabrication and supplier testing practices for inspection release + Ability and willingness to travel without restrictions domestic and/or international, approx. 55% **_Your Experience Should Be..._** + Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering discipline or related field + Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality + Minimum 2 years of experience applying APQP to new product development & release + Certified Quality Engineer and certified ISO 9001 auditor with supplier audit experience strongly preferred + Knowledge of Six sigma, root cause analysis, A3, 8D methodology + Knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, and BPVC codes and standards are a plus + Excellent communication skills, both written and oral + Self-starter with capability to work in a dynamic team environment + General knowledge of welding practices a plus **_Our Benefits Package..._** + Medical, dental and vision insurance + Employer contributions to an HSA account + Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) + Company-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage + Basic life insurance with the option to purchase supplemental individual, spouse and dependent child coverage + Up to two weeks of paid family leave + 401k retirement savings plan including a company match + Employee stock purchase program Chart Industries is an equal employment opportunity (EEO) employer and will not discriminate against any employee or applicants because of his or her race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, military status, marital status, genetic information or any other reason prohibited by law.
