This includes conducting audits, analyzing performance, and supporting procurement to optimize efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Quality Management: Overseeing supplier quality for various products and commodities (casting, machining, fabrication, rubber parts, and purchased products) within the supplier network and Weir Minerals facilities. This includes ensuring compliance with Weir Minerals standards through audits and improvement actions and managing the supplier first article inspection process.Evaluation and Development: Assessing and approving new suppliers, developing existing ones according to Weir Minerals Supplier Quality Manual and ISO 9001:2015 requirements, and supporting capital projects and fabrication evaluationsQuality Assurance and Compliance: Conducting supplier audits on existing compliance, additional product lines, and continuous improvement, as well as monitoring compliance, investigating non-conformances, and implementing corrective actions.Performance Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing supplier performance reports, validating corrective actions, and optimizing turnaround times for quality issues.Support and Coordination: Assisting procurement with product rationalization to optimize efficiency, performing dimensional inspections of parts, and occasionally acting as Supplier Quality Manager.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
National Diploma – Engineering or related (Preferred: Mechanical Eng/ Physical Metallurgy).5 years related experience, with 2 years in a Quality role.Valid Driver’s License for a manual transmission vehicle Mandatory.Quality Core tools and/ or ISO 9001 training or experience.Experience working in machining or fabrication facilities or Foundry process.Founded in 1871, Weir is a world-leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient, and sustainable.
