Responsibilities:
Drive standardization within the welded structures commodity, including supplier qualification, GECC qualification, Manufacturing Process Plans (MPP), and Control Plans (CP).
Represent the Supplier Quality function in supplier panel decisions and selection processes, in collaboration with the Global Commodity Leader (GCL).
Lead design and technical reviews with suppliers and internal teams such as Sourcing, Engineering, and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME).
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and 8D problem-solving, ensuring corrective actions are deployed across the commodity.
Implement key quality and process improvement initiatives within the commodity, including CTQ (Critical to Quality), Manufacturing Instructions (MI), FMEA, Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and APQP.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Language: Fluent in English
Experience: Solid experience in fabrication and welding, including the manufacturing of critical welded structures, with familiarity in WPS/PQR, process validation, and NDT practices. Proven involvement in supplier qualification, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and leading RCA, 8D, and corrective action deployment is also essential.
Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Certifications: NDT certification, ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma certification
Personality Traits: highly self-motivated, proactive professional with strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills, who thrives in cross-functional, global teams and maintains a process- and results-oriented mindset.
