Supplier Quality and Component Thermal Engineering Manager

As a Supplier Quality Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) working in collaboration with Suppliers, Hardware Designers, Commodity Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Data Center teams. You and your team set and manage component quality and reliability standards, drive supplier factory certification audits, and lead component and manufacturing site qualifications. You and your team actively manage sustaining quality, continuous improvements, and ensure lessons learned are actioned back to suppliers and partner teams. You will ensure that your team drives true root cause failure analysis and drives systemic corrective actions with comprehensive preventative actions. Your team extracts and analyzes data from supplier facilities, Google production lines, and our data centers to verify performance and drive improvements. Your key focus areas include Thermals (including liquid), Power, and Networking. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000-$245,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google . **Responsibilities:** + Lead, mentor, and grow a team of supplier quality engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. + Collaborate closely with hardware design, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to develop and deploy supplier quality engineering best practices throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to deployment and end-of-life. + Influence product roadmaps and architectural decisions by providing data-driven insights on hardware quality, reliability, and performance trade-offs. + Represent the team and its capabilities in executive reviews, cross-functional leadership forums, and direct supplier leadership engagements. + Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers ensuring Google is protected from a quality and reliability perspective.
