Amazon is seeking an industry proven and detail oriented Supply Chain Qualification Manager to oversee Supplier Quality Program, lead Supplier Scalability assessment and support supplier sourcing and selection for our Amazon Logistics Automation program. Successful candidates are natural self-starters who have prior experience in the integrated automation project life cycle, Scalability and capacity assessment, Supplier Quality Management, Audit process, and Supplier Management. Our Senior Supplier Qualification Manager must be agile with the ability to quickly adapt strategies, plans and solutions in response to dynamic business requirements. They also must be comfortable interfacing and driving various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization. Key job responsibilities
• Lead the implementation of the supplier qualification program to ensure suppliers meet AMZL requirement in terms of safety , quality and scalability
• Perform on-site supplier visits for qualification validation.
• Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements
• Manage the root cause analysis and corrective actions process of supplier quality issues. Develop and implement supplier quality improvement plans. Where appropriate work with the supplier directly, create corrective action plans to address process failures to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products from suppliers
• Develop, maintain, and improve supplier performance reporting systems. Monitor supplier performance metrics regularly: Scorecards/KPIs/SLAs. Analyze supplier data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement supplier risk management strategies.
• Monitor supplier certifications and maintain records of compliance
• Support new product launches to ensure suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standards
• Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities
• Manage the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA’s (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
• Ability to travel 30%-40% of time
A day in the life
1. Support Purchasing with the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risk
2. Investigate and support the resolution of supplier quality-related SIV complaints. Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
3. Manage the root cause analysis and corrective actions process of supplier quality to address process failures and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products from suppliers
