Main  Responsibilities:

Manage supplier performance to meet the “Product Quality” and “On time delivery” as per Thales requirements. Efficiently utilize PM and quality tools to manage the programs.

Manage communications between THALES business units and suppliers to execute the programs to meet stringent requirements of THALES.New Product Introduction: Lead Milestone reviews and establish the right level of Organizational, Work & Resource breakdown structure to ensure clarity to all stakeholders.Prepare Dashboards and communicate with all stakeholders of the project. Establish transparent communication mechanism for the project.Resolve supplier queries, set-up initial production processes, inspection criteria and qualification processes for First article build / Prototype builds. Also support query resolution in Series production phase.Monitor Supplier readiness in terms of Supply Chain, Process qualification and Production along with right level of documentation.Formulate and prepare internal department report pertaining to Supplier Performance Management on a routine basis.Drive and co-ordinate quality issues related to supplier with Purchasing /Program/ Technical Support team. Efficiently utilize 6 sigma methodologies to analyze and resolve quality issues.Support the suppliers in improving their maturity through Supplier development process and methodologies. Share Best Practices with suppliers.Alert management (both internal and supplier) on the anticipated risks and seek support to implement strong action plan at suppliers.Support buyers in identifying and developing cost efficient processes that can help in reducing the price and lead times.

Competence / knowledge Required:

Should possess strong Technical background on Heavy Mechanical fabrication, Fixture design & development, & High-level integration. Preferably having work experience in fabrication industry.Program / project management skills to manage High Level Assemblies.Should possess excellent knowledge on quality standards in Mechanical for Aerospace and Defense Industry such as AS9100, IAQG, NADCAP standards. Also he should have good knowledge to assess weld quality.Lean / Six Sigma knowledge is mandatory.Be agile to develop capabilities or acquire knowledge on new technologies to cater vast variety of THALES product development as deemed necessary by the Purchase Head.Experience in handling medium to complex “Build To Specification” assemblies with minimal support from Thales business lines.The candidate should possess strong inter-personal and presentation skills.

Qualification & Experience Required:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering with 10-15 years of Industrial exposure.Saudi Nationality prefer.Experience in Program management, Manufacturing, Industrialization and Outsourcing activities is essential.Proficient in MS office & ProjectsAbility to adapt quickly to changing environmentAbility to interact with all levels of management (Internal and Supplier organization), both verbally and in writing.Knowledge of French language, an added advantage.
