In this position...
You will help us deliver global supplier manufacturing readiness, from a supply chain logistics perspective, ensuring successful launches at North American plants. This position demands strategic thinking, effective leadership, and the capability to manage multiple launches simultaneously, across various plants and suppliers. In addition to launch readiness, the position will also execute the new Q1 / Material Management Operations Guidelines (MMOG) 4th edition supplier compliance process, by working closely with the Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) organization. What you'll do...
Launch Execution:
Serve as a core supply chain professional responsible for evaluating supplier readiness and industrialization processes for engineered parts, ensuring successful integration into new vehicle models.Conduct Launch Readiness reviews / audits with suppliers for new model programs (Vehicle & Powertrain Operations NA) at on-site or via virtual meetingsClear documentation of findings & analysis in Super G Ford Supplier readiness systemLead engineering / part pedigree evaluation of supplier parts for Ford Plant’s Capacity Uplifts & Shift additions, collaborating with the Design & Release (D&R) and new model launch teams.Rate suppliers' readiness for each program and ensure 100% audits are completed 30 days prior to MP1Provide support for suppliers to implement Job1 mandatory engineering changes on parts, to drive best quality vehicles and deliver flawless launch.Perform risk analysis and act on findings within the Technical Teams and Forums for new, critical, or greenfield/brownfield suppliersCollaborate with STA / Purchasing, to ensure supplier noncompliance issues pertaining to launch readiness are escalated on time & resolvedProvide engineering support, training and education to distressed suppliers.Root cause analysis in super G, to understand and work with suppliers, to improve delivery performanceCollaborate with Purchasing on Sourcing/Resourcing ActionsIdentify/implement any part engineering/design changes, for cost improvement during supplier on-site reviews.Address any SUPER-G-related issues and improvements to SUPER-G IT and Global Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Team (SMRT) Establish work and process standards and expectations for the assigned suppliersTravel to suppliers & plant locations (in some cases travel may be for multiple days)Collaborate with Product Development and Purchasing, to optimize the best manufacturing value stream to deliver the best cost at job #1.Delinquent Supplier Management:

Work proactively with suppliers post sourcing, to ensure MMOG requirements are communicated, and standards are explained.Perform onsite audits when required to validate and review supplier demonstrations, to confirm compliance.Actively participate in Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) / Odette forums, to contribute towards changing guidelines / modify standards.
