Join Our Team! The Supplier & Contract Management Assistant is responsible for ensuring the delivery of some of Thomson Reuters’ largest global managed services agreements through rigorous governance in order to achieve maximum value for investment.

The Contract Management Assistant performs the ongoing and daily activities for managing global contracts.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Supplier & Contract Management Assistant, you will be responsible to:

Coordinate governance activities between Thomson Reuters stakeholders and strategic suppliersAct as an escalation point, liaising with the business, Technology Sourcing, Procurement Operations, and Procurement Legal, as necessaryControl costs and limit financial risk and exposure, liaising with Finance and other teams and stakeholders as necessaryEnsure contract deliverables and obligations, as well as stakeholder expectations, are metProvide obligation and commercial risk/issue management to deliver greater transparency/improved controls and reduced risk perimeter for managed servicesDiagnose supplier performance issues relating to the contract, as well as create and secure buy-in (internal and supplier) for plans to improve supplier performanceImplement best practice commercial governance to reduce leakage (i.e., ensure that agreements are providing the value that was contemplated in the business case) including adoption of a commercial issues registerImplement strategic vendor scorecards and sophisticated relationship management to track vendor performance and drive desired behaviors and outcomesBuild and enhance relationships with strategic suppliers in partnership with the service delivery management teams in order to achieve exceptional levels of service quality whilst maintaining best-in-class commercial terms and conditionsRepresent Contract & Commercial Management in governance forums with strategic suppliers and actively participate in those forums specific to contract and commercial matters in order to help ensure that all contractual terms and conditions are met, initiatives are performing against business case, and that issues and disputes are resolved in a timely manner

Proactively manage the global managed services suppliers to industry best practicesDrive achievement of contracted deliverables and obligationsPerform rigorous issue management and resolve vendor disputes through advanced negotiation and relationship management

About You

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

Advanced English proficiency both written and oral. candidates will be tested before joining a selection process.Advanced fluency in contract terminology (including legal and business terms and SLAs) and ability to navigate complex contractsRigorous attention to detail and expert analytics and ability to interpret terms and conditionsStrong business acumen with ability to navigate and analyze complex commercials of a dealStrong ability to manage a varied range of stakeholdersExcellent (external and internal) relationship managementExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced strategic thinking and communications skillsAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as SharePoint and TeamsStrong project management skills and the ability to drive vendor and stakeholder deliverables 

Additional items for consideration:

Experience in contract management / vendor management discipline, including experience of successful management of global managed service agreements in excess of USD 20m valueCombined 3 years of experience in contract management, vendor management, strategic sourcing, and/or contract-related disciplineExperience working directly with senior leaders
