SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Submarine and Maritime Industrial Operations Department, Maritime Industrial Support Division, of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. #LI-NAVSUPWSS The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. Responsibilities You will support the end-to-end supply chain mission, executing supply support functions and tasks for assigned material, systems, platforms, and/or projects. You will evaluate and manage the material acquisition process, including procurement, repair, material issuing, budgetary planning and execution, overall program support management, logistics data maintenance, and equipment disposal. You will analyze data from systems such as Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to compile reports, communicate status, and draw conclusions. You will lead the Submarine Industrial Support Section by creating plans, assigning work, adjusting priorities, giving advice, counsel or instruction, and evaluating work performed by subordinates. You will develop ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying expert knowledge of logistics management principles, theories, and processes to analyze short/long-range plans and make recommendations for improving efficiency and effectiveness. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain and lifecycle logistics support as it relates to assigned material, systems, platforms, and/or projects; 2) Coordinating with internal and external partners to analyze and communicate supply system performance; 3) Performing analysis and informing mission partners on supply chain barriers and possible solutions; 4) Utilizing knowledge of material and resource budget processes to resolve unique and complex problems; and 5) Providing technical direction, guidance, and leadership to a team of employees working collaboratively.
