Job overview and responsibilities

Manage the distribution processing centers for outsourced component partsParticipate in design of automated solutions to decentralize warehousing activitiesImplement continuous improvement (CI) process within the distribution and warehousing organizationSupervise the warehousing and distribution operations in support of the division including receiving, binning, shipping and maintaining serviceable and unserviceable partsResponsible for the handling of hazardous materials including domestic and international shipping. Direct the distribution of all parts including AOG/AOM shipmentsResponsible for the disposition of all surpluses and excess material at their location. Responsible to maintain accurate bin balances through accurate transactions and physical inventoriesApplication of Lean processes within their warehouse location. Manage No Fault Found quarantine and Warranty processesDevelop and oversee internal audits related to facilities safety, shelf life, electro static discharge, tooling and bin maintenanceManage personnel dependability and Time & Attendance systems where applicableConduct Incident/Accident investigations and reportingOversight of the departments training requirements and training scheduleMaintain employee recordsMaintains compliant records required by UAL and governmental agenciesAssist in the development, implementation and management of systems and procedures to optimize the efficient flow of materials to and from United's customers, vendors and other airlinesPrepare forecasts and monitors performance, identifying trends and opportunities to improve performanceCoordinate staffing and other resource needs and ensure that safety and security requirements are fulfilledSupervise and coordinate the distribution process and business plan for an assigned shift and or location at a parts distribution center to accomplish station, division and corporate goals and objectivesCoordinate the distribution planning operation to ensure the effective integration of the station and system distribution plans and objectivesPromote and facilitate a working environment to foster improvement and employee team participationBuild and maintain a positive rapport with Maintenance Customers and other adjacent departmentsServe as a mentor for succession planning to develop front line employees for advancement opportunitiesQualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

High school diploma or equivalentMust obtain Dangerous Goods certification within six months of start date  Minimum of two years work experience in warehousing and distribution, supply chain or logisticsRelated aviation operationsCommunication skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $78,624.00 to $96,096.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
