Overview Please note this position is based in our Glendale, AZ Distribution Center and the outbound shift starts at 1pm. The Outbound Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for a team of selectors who are responsible for filling orders to ship to Sprouts stores. It is the Outbound Warehouse Supervisor's responsibility to maintain and direct the shipping team; ensuring all team members works in a safe environment and ensures the crew's ability to complete their job successfully. Overview of Responsibilities Responsible for following and maintain employee work schedules, assigned tasks to team members Help coach and train team members on policies and procedures Ensure employees are working in a safe manner as outlined by company policies and federal/state regulations Greet the crew and have a short meeting going over any information that needs to be passed on Assign duties to all of the crew members and make sure they are doing a safety check on their equipment before starting their work Check all pick tickets to make sure that any shortages are truly shortages and not items that were missed by the selector Look at completed pallets to make sure they are properly stacked, wrapped and tagged with a store number for shipping Make sure that all pallets ready for shipping are staged in the proper refrigerated area until time of loading then move to the proper staging area for loading Auditing a completed order to make sure the Selector did not short or over ship any cases Be sure his crew is keeping all debris off the floor for safety and prevention of damage to the equipment Other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma requires with three (3) years of supervisor experience in a warehouse or distribution center Forklift certification required Knowledge of various fruits and vegetables is desirable Demonstrates leadership skill and has effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Ability to successfully manage concurrent projects, multiple priorities and meet deadlines Committed to providing excellent customer service, preserve confidential information, be reliable, dependable and organized Demonstrated ability to work in a fast pace environment and comply with strict time frames Working knowledge of a WMS system Benefits In addition to a rewarding career, Sprouts offers a comprehensive program to help support you and your family.
