The Supervisor Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for overseeing the integration of complex systems within the organization, ensuring seamless interoperability between Zebra hardware and software components.
This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our technology infrastructure. The Supervisor will lead a team of skilled engineers, manage integration projects from proof of concept through to completion within a production environment, and serve as a liaison between the engineering team and other departments to align technical solutions with business objectives.
This position requires a deep understanding of systems architecture, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while fostering a collaborative team environment. The Supervisor Systems Integration Engineer plays a vital role in driving innovation and maintaining the competitive edge of our technology offerings.
Responsibilities:
+ Managing a technical team of engineers within the EMEA region
+ Coaching, supporting and mentoring Technical Engineers
+ Establishes requirement meetings and design programs for moderately complex systems, applications or process design projects.
+ Completes all phases of moderately complex systems integration design projects.
+ Support in LOE creation
+ Supporting and contributing into SOW documentation, reviewing with our internal Legal team
+ Analyses best approach to solving systems, applications or process design problems (innovation vs. re-use) including best fit solution to customer requirements.
+ Provides direction for design activities and presenting to clients.
+ Leads presentation of solutions to customers and internal audiences. Takes part in presentations to influence customers and market in pre-tender phase.
+ Assists in negotiations supporting sales with customers in pre-sales phase.
+ Leads negotiations with third party suppliers and in supplier selection process.
+ Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
+ Receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments.
+ May influence the activities of junior level personnel (exempt professional and non-exempt).
+ Networks with senior, internal and external, personnel in own area of expertise. Frequent inter- organizational and outside customer contacts.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or in lieu of degree
+ 2+ years in a technical lead position
+ 5+ years of engineering experience
