RSM is actively searching for a seasoned and self-driven Sales and Use Tax Automation Supervisor to enhance our thriving State and Local Sales and Use Transaction Tax Automation (TTA) practice. As a Transaction Tax Automation (TTA) Supervisor within RSM’s State and Local Indirect Tax practice, your responsibilities will include:

Cultivating and overseeing internal and client relationships, spearheading initiatives to drive new business for sales and use tax automation projects, including the implementation of innovative technology platforms such as Avalara, Thomson Reuters OneSource for Indirect Tax, and Vertex.Efficiently managing and organizing daily project tasks and work plans specific to each client, ensuring project execution.Collaborating with the client team and RSM staff, taking charge of project management responsibilities to ensure successful outcomes.Defining and developing project deliverables aligned with clients' implementation requirements, ensuring a comprehensive and tailored approach.Coordinating staff and resources, overseeing tasks essential to the implementation of sales and use tax systems, including the creation of systemic and procedural process maps, functional and system design documentation, system configuration, development and design of user acceptance testing, and the creation of training materials.Leading the creation and supervision of project budgets, ensuring the achievement of client’s financial objectives.Cultivating and nurturing client and vendor relationships, playing a pivotal role in supporting the strategic development and delivery of client service and project tasks within the defined scope.Identifying and facilitating the strategic sale of add-on services, contributing to the growth and success of other RSM lines of business.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Computer Science

Preferred Qualifications :

 Ability to obtain CPA, EA or other accredited designation which demonstrates above average knowledge of sales and use tax application (i.e., CMI, APS)Minimum of four (4) years of Sales and Use Tax experience.Minimum of 4 (4) years of sales and use tax technical experience with a focus on implementing sales and use tax automation systems for customer sales and vendor purchases. Strong technical knowledge of tax automation solutions (i.e., Thomson Reuters Indirect Tax Determination, Vertex Inc’s suite of products, Avalara’s solutions) and how each system works in conjunction with middle market Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) systems (i.e., Microsoft Dynamic Systems, NetSuite)
