**Position Highlights**
**Position Summary:**
The Supervisor – RN - Outpatient provides leadership and clinical support within the outpatient setting and assists in the ER when needed to ensure that services are provided in a safe, efficient manner that enhances patient care. Responsibilities include participating in direct patient care, overseeing daily departmental operations, collaborating with other staff in sharing of resources, as well as providing support and leadership to the staff. The Supervisor participates in direct care and overseeing the Outpatient staff.
The Supervisor plays a key role in developing and implementing competencies, quality monitoring, education and serving as a resource. Assist Director in overall management of the Outpatient Department and services as the primary resource for clinical skills and expert knowledge to nursing staff. The Supervisor will also play a key role in employee management, including conducting staff interviews, participating in employee performance reviews, and assisting with department meetings. They assist with staff scheduling, assist in payroll, manage time-off requests, coordinate coverage for sick calls, and help ensure adequate staffing to maintain optimal patient care.

Flexible schedules to cover all shifts, as hospital needs demand.
**Education/Experience:**
Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing
An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
1-3 years nursing experience
1 year adult, acute care with cardiology/cardiovascular nursing preferred.
**Licensure/Certification:**
Registered Nurse with current state licensure or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact. Additional certifications are required as follows: BLS within 30 days of employment for all RNs, ACLS within one year of employment for RNs with the home department or cross trained in: PCU, ED, Cath Lab, Outpatient Services or Phase II Outpatient Cardiac Rehab, PALS or ENPC within one year of employment for RNs with ED as their home department
