Enforces policies, procedures and guidelines. Provides training and guidance for staff. Perform all tasks for which the work group is responsible, including a full range of dispatch work. Controls the schedule, payroll and radio inventory. **Job Specifications:** + Starting Wage: $56,485 - $71,874 + Employment Type: Year Round + Shift Type: Full Time hours available + Housing Availability: Yes **Job Responsibilities:** + Ordering for the dispatch office and often other mountain operations departments, controlling POs for the text messaging, radio airtime rental, building needs, etc. + Building reports, tracking KPI’s setting goals for the department. + Partner with Director of Mtn Ops to oversee the dispatch department budget + Weekly payroll + Deals with local management, local police, ambulance and fire in any given emergency + Responsible for hiring + Responsible for all aspects of the Dispatch App including tech support, and training across the resort + Contracts for communications services, including snow reporting sites, weather stations, electronic sign boards Dispatch + Train all levels of dispatchers + Actively seeking new training opportunities. Recognizing and communicating training opportunities for other mountain operations departments Snow Reporting + Work with other departments with employee communications + Ensure accurate and on-time reporting + Work closely with PR and Marketing on changes within snow reporting, ensure alignment with other Vail Resorts Night Events + Wintertime Events Coordinator—tracking, reporting and communicating all information regarding Mountain and Base Area Events to all mountain operations departments. Act as a liaison between Conference Services and Mountain Operations. Direct report will include a summertime Mountain Events Coordinator Radios + Responsible for the radio inventory of the Mountain Operations, Base Area Operations and Skier Services departments. Coordinates yearly services, controls inventory, purchasing, and arranging repairs, creating PO’s, etc. for all radios + Contract and Budget **Job Requirements:** + High school education or equivalent, plus previous clerical experience or dispatch experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired + Organizational and administrative experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired + Strong typing and clerical skills + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Ability to make decisions quickly and calmly in emergency situations + 5+ years of Mountain Operations Experience + Strong Microsoft Office skills + Sitting for long periods of time + Must be able to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level The expected pay range is $56,485 - $71,874.
