Job purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Supervisor Production. The Production Supervisor serves as a leader and facilitator of the team's tasks and activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, production, environmental, and overall work system objectives, with the ultimate goal of meeting customer requirements.
Key responsibilities
Promote and ensure compliance with the company's safety policies, as well as follow up on the timely closure of findings related to unsafe conditions. (R)
Participate in accident/incident investigations. (R)
Promote environmental awareness. (R)
Correctly execute the Emergency Response Plan according to procedure. (R)
Conduct LPAs according to the schedule and ensure that team leaders under their supervision carry them out. (R)
Maintain effective communication with other departments (quality, engineering, maintenance, logistics) to convey operational needs and request solutions. (R)
Analyze production performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions to optimize processes. (R)
Follow up on the closure of actions related to their assigned lines (LPA, safety, environmental, quality, production (OEE), maintenance, etc.). (R)
Ensure that progress on action closures is communicated to the team. (R)
Assign resources to the personnel under their supervision. (R)
Ensure training in operations and identify training needs for personnel at the workstation. (R)
Ensure compliance with production plans, schedules, and established targets. (R)
Assign tasks, train staff, motivate, and evaluate worker performance. (R)
Manage employee incidents. (R) and (A)
Record production, times, materials, and any issues that arise. (R)
Promote problem-solving (AD / A3). (R)
Determine whether an improvement idea generated by a team member is feasible, manage the idea with the executor, and validate its implementation. (A)
Manage the implementation and maintenance of improvements on the line and apply lean techniques such as 5S, TPM, etc. (R)
Manage conflicts (negotiation). (R)
Ability to identify failures and details that may affect product and/or machine quality. (R)
What we’re looking for
Education: Mechanical Administrative Engineer, Electromechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineer in Production, technical degree or related field.
Experience: 1 year or more in a similar position.
Required technical knowledge: Manufacturing processes, personnel management, quality and environmental systems, problem-solving processes, workplace safety, Lean Manufacturing.
Other requirements: Microsoft Office.
