The Supervisor Respiratory Care is proficient in all aspects of Respiratory Care and possesses the ability to utilize effective management skills.

 

Responsibilities Include:

Supports the Respiratory Care Manager in a supervisory capacity, managing team member and patient care issues as well as physician concerns. Assists the manager with hiring, performance review, coaching, counseling and termination. Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing, team member competency and policy review.Ensures regulatory requirements are met and establishes goals for process improvement. Acts as a role model for othersReports to a Manager over multiple departments or multiple campuses. Has greater than 10 direct reports. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Certifications and Licensures Required:

RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)Active NBRC Credential for RRTCPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 monthsACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 monthsPALS (Pediatric) - Preferred

 

Education Required:

Technical Respiratory TherapyAssociate's Respiratory Therapy - Preferred

 

Experience Required:

Acute Care / Respiratory

 

Specific Skills Required:

NICU and Pediatric experience is preferred.Clinical skills appropriate to positionComputer skills appropriate to positionCollaborate and work with a teamCritical thinking skillsAdvanced Respiratory Assessment and Evaluations
