In this position...
The Module Configuration and Programming (MCP) Section develops programming applications and delivers software files and configuration data to the dealer/aftermarket network. These applications and software files allow updating of electronic control modules as needed due to hardware replacement, release of updated software for increased customer satisfaction, or to address a particular customer complaint.

Reports to Diagnostic and Service Products Diagnostic Strategy and Release Manager. Leads and directs work of section personnel who design and develop diagnostic tools, associated hardware and procedures to support all vehicle program launches. Approves and assures correct implementation of procedures. Negotiates and monitors cost, content and timing of diagnostic deliverables. Directs diagnostic efforts toward the timely resolution of concerns arising during diagnostic validation or end user field use. Develops training plans, performance objectives and career planning for section personnel. Develop, evolve and maintain module configuration and programming capability and processes for all link-based Ford diagnostic service tools, establishing close ties with powertrain and EESE. Ensure that the web infrastructure and connectivity supports MCP to the dealerships, aftermarket, software/data update deployment, Internet access, as well as the multi-site global development capability. Design, Develop, Test, Release, and all facets of the MCP that relate to software compatibility (for example, operating system, protocol / drivers, databases, libraries) across the various diagnostic products. Support development of future generation diagnostic/service products.
