This position is responsible for ensuring inventory demands are effectively communicated and vetted utilizing supply chain and material management processes. Other responsibilities include translating raw data to provide insight into operational performance and suggest methods of improvements.      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide oversight and administration of Smartsheet-based workflows and reporting processes to ensure data accuracy, task tracking, and cross-functional collaboration. Manage the end-to-end tracking and accountability of Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) inventory, including documentation, movement, and compliance with storage and handling protocols. Effective order management and customer demand satisfaction. Coordinates on-demand and scheduled delivery management.  Manage end user inquiries and concerns throughout supply chain process. Develop data analysis strategies, tracking and reporting on operations life cycle. Analyze reporting data to provide insight into operational performance    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field required or equivalent combination of training, education, and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.  Relevant work experience.  Working knowledge of SAP and other ERP add on systems. Experience in materials management, materials planning, supply chain or related fields. Effectively works in a strategically focused workforce and on cross-functional teams. Must be able to work and communicate effectively in writing and verbally with all levels of the company and suppliers. Satisfactory prior job performance. Demonstrated experience in materials management, inventory control, within a distribution environment Proven working knowledge of SAP Business System and associated add on software throughout the system. Also proven knowledge of Microsoft applications including MS Office Suite Demonstrated managerial skill and ability to lead train and develop employees Proven excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, problem solving to guide and support his staff to achieve goals consistent with departmental and corporate programs and objectives within budgetary constraints Proven excellent leadership, problem solving and presentation skills to guide and support members of the assigned unit in achieving goals consistent with departmental and corporate programs Strong working knowledge of corporate policy and procedures including safety, materials management Satisfactory prior job performance   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 6-9+ years of relevant work experience Extensive experience in logistics & supply chain lean processes Advanced working knowledge of SAP IM\EWM ERP systems. Working knowledge of ARIBA systems   COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.   The salary range is $84,900 - $110,052. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
