DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Operation of attended (manned or hyrail) track testing systems across BNSF’s networkHands-on repair/maintenance of track testing systemsAudit quality of data produced by track testing systems and perform track defect review and validationPlan and coordinate testing operations with Division and System Engineering and Operations personnelSupport field Engineering employees with questions/concerns related to test dataPerform other special assignments/duties, as requiredManager SB 29 positions may be expected to lead and/or train Track Measurement Supervisors

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Supervisor: Must be Tier II Qualified/ Manager: Must be Tier III Qualified1 year minimum of track maintenance and/or track inspection experience (Ex. Previous MOW Foreman, Track Supervisor/Inspector, or Operations FLS experience)Thorough understanding of FRA regulations and BNSF Engineering Instructions regarding track inspection and maintenance policies.
Able to perform mechanical/ air/ hydraulic/ electrical/ software/ hardware repairs inside and outside of equipment.
Self-directed, motivated and have good interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of safe railroad operations and practices Must have the ability to communicate well, on technical as well as practical level with all echelons of employeesMust be safety conscious and able to support and contribute to a strong safety processMust be willing and able to travel extensively to various locations in a geographic regionIntermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other engineering/construction management related fieldProficiency w/ software programs and reporting tools including, but not limited to, MS PowerPoint, MS ExcelBNSF Mainframe and PC experience desirable2 or more years' experience with Track Measurement or operations FLS experienceProficiency in geometry validation
