Job Summary
The IT PMO Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the IT Project Management Office (PMO) by overseeing the daily operations of project coordination and execution across infrastructure and application project management domains. Reporting to the IT PMO Manager, this role ensures that project standards, processes, and best practices are followed, while providing hands-on support to the project managers. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day operational support to infrastructure and application project managers in project planning, tracking, and execution. Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocations to ensure alignment with PMO standards and organizational goals. Approve and oversee timesheets, vendor invoices, and expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies. Assist in the development and maintenance of project documentation, including schedules, status reports, risk logs, and change requests. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of PMO tools, templates, and methodologies. Conduct regular project reviews and audits to ensure compliance with PMO governance. Mentor and guide junior project coordinators or analysts as needed. Collaborate with the IT PMO Manager to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to strategic planning initiatives. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience7+ years of relevant experience is required. Highly experienced.
General knowledge of systems analysis, design methodologies, and various information system technologies and tools. General knowledge of various business systems and processes. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Basic project management skills such as planning, scheduling, coaching, and resource identification. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Ability to negotiate and influence others. General knowledge of various business systems and processes. Experienced managing major projects in large corporate or enterprise environments. Responsible for budgets of at least $3M and teams of at least 30 people.
Key Qualifications:
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Proficiency with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, Clarity/Planview) and ServiceNow. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting both infrastructure and application development projects is highly desirable. Education RequirementsDegree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
