Job Details:
SUMMARY: This role involves overseeing the operations of a specific hatchery, including daily activities and developing strategies for future improvements. Key responsibilities include:
Completing chick delivery sheets, flock pull sheets, and mortality charts.Keeping logs for each truck, detailing miles and hours worked by each driver.Ensuring the timely movement of chicks to farms according to the shipment schedule.Monitoring incubation, hatchery, and environmental control equipment.Supervising chick delivery and pick-up.Managing personnel on a daily basis.Grading egg fleets from hen farms.Preparing vaccines for chickens.Performing additional duties as needed.Any other tasks assigned by the manager.QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Post-high school education, including special training, vocational school, or college courses, preferred.Experience: 2 years in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory/lead experience preferred or equivalent. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.Travel: 1-2 trips per year.Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise a team within a single department or work unit performing similar or interrelated tasks and activities.WORK SCHEDULE: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and every other weekend.
