Job Overview:
The Pharmacy Sterile Products Supervisor is a member of the pharmacy management team and is responsible for managing the sterile product compliance for the pharmacy department.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree, Doctorate degree, or Certified Pharmacy Technician in PharmacyMinimum three years of hospital pharmacy experienceExperience with sterile compoundingFamiliarity with all phases of hospital Pharmacy and a working knowledge of public health matters, as well as Federal and State laws regulating the professional and hospital practice of PharmacyUnderstands the role of the Hospital Pharmacy Department within the hospital and its interrelationships with other departments and functionsPreferred:
Two years of supervisory experienceAdvanced skills with Microsoft applicationsCertifications and Licenses Required:
Current New Jersey State license as Registered Pharmacy staff member in good standingScheduling Requirements:

Plans efficient and effective utilization of resourcesServes as a frontline resource for all Pharmacy employeesProvides leadership and direction to Pharmacy team membersPromotes positive relations and actively contributes to a positive work environmentAssists in planning, monitoring, and maintaining budget in functional area of departmentManages policies related to sterile compounding and other areas as designated in collaboration with leadershipActively participates with external departments at the local and system level to support optimizing patient care and best practiceOversees compliance with all regulatory requirements required for sterile compounding including, USP 797, USP 800, NJ Board of Pharmacy, Joint Commission, DEA, FDA, CMS, NJDOH and other state/federal regulatory bodiesAssists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement programs, pharmacy staff recruiting/retention/training, and staff development in relation to sterile compounding and hazardous medication handlingAssists Director and Assistant Director in meeting the mission and vision to promote patient safety, formulary compliance, cost-effective practice, teamwork, productivity, and positive patient outcomesCompletes duties associated with pharmacy management, including employee relations and providing cross coverage for other supervisor responsibilities as neededOther duties as assignedBenefits and Perks:
