The Housekeeping Supervisor assists the department Manager in maintaining a quality standard of cleanliness in accordance with the policies and procedures of the hospital. **Position details:** **Facility:** Morton Plant Hospital **Location:** Clearwater, FL **Status:** Full Time **Hours:** 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM including every other weekend **Requires:** 3 years of experience in Housekeeping/Environmental Services related field. **Performs team member functions including:** + Interviewing, hiring, selecting, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions and terminations + Scheduling, training, and payroll + Organizes the receiving, storing, and inventory of supplies to meet service requirements + Plans work schedules and assigns hours and areas of work to ensure adequate services for all areas of the hospital + Responsible for training and supervising environmental services team members + Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of the hospital - recommends painting, repairs, furnishing and refurnishing, relocation of equipment and re-allocation of space to improve sanitation, appearance and efficiency + Investigates and evaluates new environmental procedures, supplies and equipment + Responsible for performing quality control checks to ensure compliance with infection control and regulatory requirements + Responsible for maintaining the records for hazardous waste and regulated medical waste + Conducts monthly meetings in the absence of the Manager or Director + Oversees the daily huddles and topics of discussion + Collaborates with other Managers on the clinical units to gain cooperation for improving HCAHPS scores related to cleanliness + Role model for the Housekeeping team members + Must be able to perform all Housekeeping duties as needed + Demonstrates the ability to work independently + Assumes Manager duties and responsibilities as assigned **Requirements:** + High school diploma or equivalent + 3 years of experience in Housekeeping/Environmental Services related field + Preferred 6 months of experience in a healthcare Lead/Coordinator position and CHEST certification **BayCare offers a competitive total reward package including:** + Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision) + Paid time off + Tuition reimbursement + 401K reimbursement + Yearly performance appraisals and team award bonus + Community discounts and more AND the chance to be part of an amazing team and a great place to work!
