The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Summary:

Supervises coordinates and participates in activities of employees performing routine standardized biological and biochemical tests as well as more complex procedures on blood that assist physicians in the diagnosis and clinical management of patients. Assumes responsibility for recognizing results or problems that require referral to Medical Director or Laboratory Director or Manager. Performs additional tasks as requested by the Chair of Pathology or his designee.

Qualifications:

Required:

Minimum of 5 years experience in Blood BankKnowledge of specialized principles and techniques in Blood Banking which would normally be obtained through formal academic training and experienceRegistry with a recognized board of registry for medical technologies such as American Society of Clinical Pathologist

Preferred:

Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology preferred
