What you’ll do:


PRIMARY FUNCTION:
    The role of Leader is to effectively execute the operations’ business plan, applying EBS tools & processes to achieve the highest level of productivity, quality and employee satisfaction. The Leader acts as an agent of the Corporation in carrying out accountabilities consistent with policies, administrative guidelines and prescribed ethical conduct. Through effective personal leadership, the Leader builds Operations Excellence consistent with EPWP guidelines, balanced with a culture that embraces Positive Employee Relations, recognizing the needs of each individual employee.
 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
    A.    Maintain comprehensive care to maintenance procedures in own area through the adaptation of activities, guiding the appropriate use of manpower, machines, methods and maintenance procedures in order to maintain the equipment with greater availability to manufacturing.
    B.    Ensure compliance of maintenance tasks through the application of appropriate maintenance procedures and work plans.
    C.    Ensure the goals of maintenance, using the Lean tools applied to the area and by applying concepts and tools of EBS.
    D.    Maintaining productivity and quality in manufacturing, maintaining equipment in good working conditions through good preventive and corrective service.
    E.    Attain desired standards of quality of the company proposing and motivating the group to make changes in designs of machines and equipment, and maintenance processes.
    F.    Maximize the efficiency of maintenance seeking solutions to technical problems, resolving them into their root causes, avoiding wastage of manpower and unavailability of equipment.
    G.    Minimize the impact on production, as a result of failures of machines or equipment, anormalities in the process, looking for alternatives to maintain the same along with manufacturing and support areas.
    H.    Contribute to reduce maintenance costs of equipment by introducing improvement projects to make them suitable for work capacity required, reducing wear of components, corrective labor maintenance and downtime of equipment.
    I.    Analyze and take action in relation to absenteeism index, accidents, maintenance costs and indicators in the area.
    J.    Maximize the performance of the area through selection, training, corporate compliance programs, safety programs, orienting and motivating the employees.
    K.    Meet the pre requisites of the quality system, standards, procedures and code of ethics.
 

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

Complete bachelor’s degree, preferentially in engineering.Effective verbal and written communication skills (Leadership style).Provide training, coaching, motivation and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continues skill development (BOC).Managerial courage to drive changes, sustain continuous improvement atmosphere and employee involvement (BOC).Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and direct the activities to a group of people (Gets results).Facilitation, conflict resolution, problem-solving and analysis skills (Thinks & acts strategically).Knowledge and experience in maintenance and production processes.Management of equipment, and quality system.Good reading and understanding English language (Intermediate)

Desirable

Lean Mfg, MS Office, Oracle.Knowledge of standards and safety proceduresExperience in Kaizen and TPM implementation
