PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the physical building maintenance of all PA medical office locations and corporate office, to include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, flooring, general hardware, and repairs. Individual will be responsible for evaluating, coordinating, and implementing preventive maintenance as established by Company procedures and guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the day-to-day maintenance operations to ensure locations in the respective region(s) are maintained in a safe, secure, and clean environment. Schedules and assigns work responsibility to maintenance staff to meet business demands. Verifies and ensures completion of tasks. Plans, coordinates, and monitors functions of service contractors/vendors to assess required repairs and maintenance. Oversees contractor/vendor progress and ensures completion of repairs and maintenance projects. Reviews and approves (1) purchase orders, quotes/estimates, and proposals from third party vendors in reference to repairs and maintenance projects as well as (2) parts and supplies purchased from facilities technicians. Assist the Facilities Manager as required in all new construction, renovations and relocations of medical offices ensuring installations are completed per PA facilities standards and protocols. Assists in supporting the facilities operations for acquired and merged practices via third party facilities management vendor(s). Assists in the oversight of maintenance from clinics which have been acquired.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees regional facilities and 3rd party vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
High school diploma/ GED or equivalent required. Associate degree, technical trade license or related industry certification preferred.EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance/facilities required. Previous healthcare experience preferred.LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Upon hire, and for the duration of the employment period, a driver’s license must be active and valid.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must be proficient and have working knowledge of Microsoft office applications such Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Must be able to communicate effectively (orally & written) with all levels of staff and management with strong customer service interpersonal skills. Understanding of mobile technology and applications. Working knowledge and understanding of CMMS system (computerized maintenance management system). Ability to assess completion of maintenance work. Skill and knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment. Ability to make independent judgement. General finance and accounting knowledge including budgeting activities. General knowledge and experience in planning, prioritizing, and organizing a complex workload. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers. Ability to direct the work of others.
