What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
Directly supervise warehouse leads, hourly, and temporary workforce inpicking, and packing products to comply with our service. Responsible
of meeting picking and utilization expectations
Interacts with Customer Service, Inventory Control, Transportation,Distribution personnel, and outside contractors to coordinate the shipments of product to customers.
Initiate and implement effective and productive utilization and selection ofequipment process in support of progressive material handling and storage
techniques, productivity improvements, distribution studies and other key
improvement programs.
Lead the VOE, HPT & Other Operations’ initiatives.Support and use lean six sigma schemes to approach your projects/challenges
Able to react to change productively and handle essential tasks or other duties as assignedResponsible for abiding by all company regulatory environmental, health & safetyQualifications
