POSITION SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Assistant Manager with the management of the day to day operation of his/her assigned storeroom(s).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of Warehouse Supervisor includes but not limiting to the followings:

Manage a Team of warehouse personnel including Store Officer, Warehouse Attendants and Runners of his/her assigned storeroom(s);Ensure daily material issuance to user departments are prepared and delivered in a timely and accurate fashion;Ensure proper authorization is obtained before the release of warehouse material to user departments; that the materials are issued based on the “First-In / First-Out” or “First-Expired / First-Out” principle;Ensure materials received from Receiving Department or from Supplier will be properly inspected and verified to meet all requirements; and that non-conforming materials will be rejected accordingly;Maintain and optimize the inventory level of the storeroom(s) and that the turnover rate of the inventory material is on a satisfactory level;Monitor usage levels of inventory items by user departments to establish Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) standards and replenish inventory items accordingly to ensure the continuous and stable supply of warehouse material to user departments;Maintain accurate inventory record of his/her storeroom(s) and ensure zero variance at all time;Conduct thorough stocktaking and update on inventory items on a monthly basis and reconcile discrepancy if any;Ensure all material stored inside the storeroom(s) are stored safely and securely against possible theft and no potential risk of physical injury to personnel or damage to Company property and assets will be posed;Ensure that all storeroom space is kept clean and orderly at all times and comply with HACCP requirements;   Ensure the required storage temperatures, moisture level, expiration and shelf life for all inventory items are maintained and monitored;Ensure Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures are followed and abided by the Team;Ensure the Team is properly attired with Personal Protective Equipment and all activities within the warehouse area are in compliance with OSH requirement;Provide guidance to the Team members in accordance with Company’s Code of Conduct and warehouse management ethics;Perform all other duties within the scope of warehouse responsibilities as assigned by the Manager, Warehouse & Distribution or Assistant Manager, Warehouse.

Pilferage and loss is below 1 % of total inventory costPhysical stock check reconcile with zero varianceWarehouse is efficiently staffed at all times, FTE payroll is within the budgetTimely and accurate preparation of reportsConstructive relationship are build with external contacts, internal customers and team membersIssues from the user departments are dealt with a prompt and professional mannerSOP’s remain current and relevantConfidentiality maintained

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience 

At least 2 years experience in the capacity of Receiver in hospitality industry; experience using purchasing system BirchStreet is definitely a plusKnowledge of Microsoft Office suite of productsHard working and willing to work overtimeStrong interpersonal and communication skillsGeneral understanding of hotel and business operations

Education   

Secondary school academic qualifications, holder of diploma / certificate of Purchasing and Supply, Logistics Management or Warehouse Management will be an added advantage
