Your role are Baxter

Working in our Warehouse Mississauga, the Warehouse Supervisor will oversee and coordinate direct activities encompassing warehousing, transportation, inventory control. Coordinate these activities to ensure efficient utilization of warehouse, transportation resources and optimize the flow of goods for distribution.  As we are dealing with medical equipment, our environment requires careful attention to detail and close compliance to process and handling requirements. Supervise the Warehouse staff and possess the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to succeed by utilising appropriate interpersonal styles including leading by example, setting objectives and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction.

The Warehouse Supervisor must adhere to the Environmental Health & Safety requirements in all areas of the facility, follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and work closely with the Warehouse Manager and Quality Managers to implement change successfully and drive achievement of local and corporate goals.

What you will be doing:

Oversee and coordinate warehouse receiving and shipping operations.Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees’ performances.Responsible for maintaining proper inventory control procedures and documentation.Ensure safe operation of equipment used to move and transport materials.Organise and coordinate activities and staff schedules, ensure fulfillment goals are met and that shipments are timely, accurate, and undamaged.Adhere to all environmental, health and safety SOPs, regulatory requirements, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements.Interact with plant management on operating issues relative to transportation, warehouse, and inventory control that impact warehouse operations.Commit to employee feedback and developmental processes.Collaborate with other functional groups to streamline warehouse operations. Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize warehouse processes. Conduct physical inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate stock levels. Motivate warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Enforce compliance with regulations and training within warehouse functions and ensure a safe working environment.Coach and develop warehouse employees in order that a common goal is focused upon and those business objectives are met consistently.Build team philosophy and cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the them to achieve the company's targets and objectives.Ensure security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control, ensuring 6S housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system and ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy.

What do you bring

Bachelor’s degreeAt least three years of experience in a related area with supervisory experience.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on a routine basis.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.Capability to drive a forklift.Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word (or similar email application) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical skills to gather data to identify and address issues.Demonstrated coaching skills to motivate employees.
