**Supervisor, Shapes Production** **Alli** **ed** **Mineral Products Holding, Inc.** is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. We are currently seeking a **Supervisor, Shapes Production,** who will lead operations in our pre-cast refractory shop. This role oversees multiple team leaders and their crews, ensuring production stays on schedule while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role is responsible for the execution of the manufacturing plan including the organization, direction, and control of labor, materials, and processes to successfully complete production requirements to meet daily and long-term goals of Allied’s Manufacturing Operations. The main responsibilities include monitoring workflow, enforcing safety protocols, reviewing and approving weekly timecards, and driving continuous improvement across the shop floor. **Key Duties and Responsibilities:** + Supervise daily operations across multiple production teams in the pre-cast refractory shop. + Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and safety standards. + Ensure adherence to established production procedures and best practices to maintain consistency, quality, and operational efficiency across all teams. + Ensure the team's safety through employee training, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance, hazard identification/removal, consistent housekeeping, safety audits, and ensuring compliance with all safety policies and requirements. + Support team leaders in resolving operational challenges and resource needs + Monitor workflow and adjust staffing as needed to maintain efficiency. Work with Production Planning to identify priorities. + Review and approve employee timecards on a weekly basis. + Coordinate with maintenance, quality control, and logistics to minimize downtime. + Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. + Train and mentor team leaders and production staff. **Qualifications:** + High School diploma or GED is required; associate or bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, manufacturing, or related field preferred. + At least 5 years’ leadership experience, as a Team Leader or other supervisory role preferred. + Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, team building capabilities, and interpersonal skills. + Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP system is a plus. + Previous experience with timekeeping systems and basic administrative tasks preferred. + Must be self-motivated, a team player and have strong attention to detail with a focus on continuous improvement. + Requires sound decision-making and problem-solving capabilities. + Must have the ability to efficiently plan and coordinate employee tasks and work schedules with a strong understanding of production workflows, scheduling, and quality control. + Prior experience with casting and/or refractory a plus. + Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus. + Must have familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards. **Working Environment:** + Office environment and manufacturing floor. + The job can be in a dusty and dirty environment. The manufacturing floor is in a non-temperature-controlled building. + Required to wear respirator, safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes on manufacturing floor. + Required to follow Allied Mineral Products’ Safety & Health policy and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as appropriate when in the production plant. **Allied Mineral Products offers competitive wages, health, dental, STD, LTD, ESOP retirement plan and profit sharing.
