This position assists the manager by providing leadership and direction to assigned analysts on the ROPS special projects and analytics team. On top of supervisory responsibilities, this position will be responsible for leading and/or actively supporting the execution of strategic initiatives, process re-design, analytical report development, and special projects.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: YES
This position has supervisory responsibility and/or has input into decisions concerning the recruitment, training, professional development, performance management including termination, and retention of teammates necessary for the team to achieve key departmental goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.
Teammate Supervision and Customer Service (60%)
Provide daily supervision, direction, mentoring, coaching, and performance management to teammatesEnsure high quality customer service according to department and company policyMonitor team productivity and progress of specific area job functionsDetermine staffing plans that promote the most effective use of all teammatesEstablish, communicate, and ensure departmental goals and objectives are achievedAddress teammate relations issues appropriately and escalate to manager as necessaryAssist manager with teammate employment activity such as hiring, promoting, job performance, evaluations, PTO, and disciplinary action as requiredWrite and conduct teammate annual Performance Development Reviews (PDRs) as requiredMaintain teammate records in compliance with DaVita policy's and any applicable lawsUnderstand and communicate DaVita company policies and proceduresWork with People Services and manager to recruit teammates with appropriate skills and experienceKnow, understand, and follow DaVita teammate guidelines as well as local safety and security policies and proceduresSpecial Projects (25%)
Lead or actively participate in special projectsServe as a liaison between the data analytics team and other departments to ensure business needs are met in an efficient and effective mannerSupport the analytics team manager via business acumen and technical knowledgeMeet tight deadlines in a time sensitive and resource constrained project environmentProvide frequent updates to manager regarding the status of activities and initiativesAssist with CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) projects or other efforts designed to improve effectiveness/efficiency of the businessIdentify system and process improvements opportunities and make recommendationsAnalytics/Reporting (10%)
Perform root cause analysis on large amounts of datasets and create detailed reports for strategic business issues and opportunitiesIdentify system and process improvements and recommend process improvement plansProvide accurate and timely reporting of performance metrics to the senior leadership team as required or scheduledMaintain reporting continuity, integrity, and communication among analytical departmentsOther Duties (5%)

Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, including computer skills as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

No required tasks involve greater exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues than would be encountered by a visitor. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids or other hazardous conditions.
