Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure continuity of services provided by the Pharmacy Technicians. Primarily working Evening Shift Hours **Job Description** : **EDUCATION:** + Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program + OR Met Board of Pharmacy requirements to obtain registration **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:** + PHRMTECHR-Registered Pharmacy Technician + OR PHARMC-Certified Pharmacy Technician Note: A Licensed Pharmacy Technician is both registered and certified **TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:** + 5 years recent relevant experience **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE** **:** + Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical generic and trade names, pharmaceutical calculations, and laws and regulations relating to the practice of Pharmacy. + Knowledge of basic dosing information. + Basic arithmetic and algebra. + Computer literate in Microsoft Windows environment with moderate level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. + Requires a basic working knowledge of legal requirements and accreditation standards including National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), The Joint Commission (TJC), Title XXII, United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP). **Job Shift:** Evenings **Schedule:** Full Time **Days of the Week:** Monday - Friday **Weekend Requirements:** One Weekend Shift a month **Benefits:** Yes **Unions:** No **Position Status:** Exempt **Weekly Hours:** 40 **Employee Status:** Regular Employees of Sutter Health and its entities may handle hazardous drugs in the course of their work, including patient care, which requires them to manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drugs identified as hazardous or potentially hazardous by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and in accordance with the USP 800 guidelines. Pay Range is $41.45 to $62.18 / hour _The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
