To continue laying the groundwork, challenge what's possible and celebrate the power of inclusion, we seek to partner with driven individuals who are ready to elevate their career with us. *Work Arrangement:* Tuesday through Saturday, flexibility to work extended hours - including weekends and holidays, and to be on-call as operational needs arise. *What You'll Do:*The Operations Supervisor will supervise the safe discharge, storage, and movement of cargo through the terminal, while maintaining intermodal train operations from undocking rail to building and loading. *Key Responsibilities:* * Assist in properly planning and coordinating stevedoring and yard operations in a safe, organized manner for maximum yard efficiency.** * Ensure all cargo and empties are properly identified, stowed, and move efficiently.** * Manage staffing of union employees, for safety rule enforcement, operations oversight, and completion of all pertinent reports and paperwork to include training and payroll documentation.** * Monitor and address personnel needs related to Personal Protective Equipment, organizational tools, and other essential resources.** * Maintain relationships with union and non-union personnel through proper administration of all policies and Collective Bargaining Agreement.** * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, Land Transportation Intermodal, and instructional personnel.** * Optimize labor efficiency by managing meal periods strategically and reducing unnecessary overtime to help control operational costs.** *Experience:* * 4 years’ experience in yard or vessel operations. Union supervisory experience preferred. Valid Driver's license required. MVR will be conducted.** *Technical Skills:* * Effective verbal and written communication with the ability to establish and maintain working relationships.** * Demonstrate proven experience in developing, improving, and streamlining processes to meet operational goals.** * Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and project management related to assigned activities.** * Proficient in Microsoft Office, C-Sight, TID Works, and Blue Yonder.** * Ability to safely operate various types of motorized vehicles; must hold a valid Driver’s License and TWIC.** * Willing to work in various weather conditions and adaptability to a dynamic, fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling; including overtime and on-call status.** *WORKING CONDITIONS:*Works both inside an office environment and outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders.
