These include, but are not limited to: safety, quality (deviations, CAPAs, customer complaints, RFT, etc.), production, efficiency, cost, employee morale, and timely delivery. Along with important metrics, the supervisor is accountable for various shift tasks. These tasks involve leading a skilled labor force and collaborating with different departments to accomplish company goals. **Responsibilities:** + Communicate job expectations to employees, provide clear direction for the shift, complete shift planning, monitor employee performance, and evaluate job results. + Mentoring and counseling for employees + Initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures + Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees + Developing personal growth opportunities for self and others + Implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems + Encouraging corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and promoting a spirit of collaboration within and between departments.Completes production plan by leading personnel + Strong technical writing skills are needed for elaborate and extensive quality deviations and customer responses. + Setting priorities and crafting team momentum to achieve the established goals. + Maintains quality service by establishing and implementing organization and cGMP regulation standards + Ensures operation of equipment by placing work tickets for repairs and coordination with maintenance. + Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data + Builds and revises systems, batch paperwork, and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change and improvements. + Maintains safe and clean work environment + Resolves personnel issues + Maintains professional and technical knowledge as needed **Education/Experience:** + High school diploma/GED is required. Four-year degree is preferred. + Five years of relevant experience of which two should have leadership responsibilities. + Pharmaceutical background preferred + Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and 5s principals is advantageous. **SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS** : Must meet applicable DEA security clearance requirements. **PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT** : Safety glasses, gloves, lab coats, safety shoes, dust masks, and covers for hair and facial hair.
