Position Summary
Supervise skilled employees involving a high degree of technical competence in order to maintain, rebuild, and repair a wide variety of production machines and equipment.Assigns work to maintenance staff and vendors for all electrical, mechanical and hydraulic repairs.
Essential Responsibilities Make job assignmentsCheck and make necessary corrections of time and attendance and job records read-outs for current and previous dayOrder materials for jobs after reviewing requirementsFollow up on assignments to insure timely completionAnswer phone calls, and e-mails in a timely mannerMake job reviews and reassignments as emergency and safety situations occurEnforce Company Rules and Regulations which apply to this departmentMaintain P.M. (Preventive Maintenance) program – grow and expand as neededCommunicate with Manager regarding conditions and situations in departmentsEstimate jobs throughout shop and office taking into consideration materials and labor for job completionConduct team meetings with all responsible employees reviewing safety, productivity and other issues of importanceIssue Work Orders (Shop Orders Memos) when required. These jobs consist of related work for construction and safety. Assist and manage outside contractors to complete jobsWork within budget guidelines on capital projects completing all required paperwork (PAR’s ESH, etc.)Work with and support other Supervisors of Maintenance within Seneca Falls OperationsInvestigate and write up accident reports Position RequirementsQualifications:
Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a maintenance supervisorSAP and office computer skills a mustExperience working with CMMSExperience Supervising union employeesSchedule daily tasks for both internal team and outside contractorsTen years of practical knowledge of manufacturing / machining equipment is requiredRequired equipment maintenance experience: maintenance equipment, CNC machines, tool room machinesRequired testing equipment: electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumaticsProfessional certifications or advanced degrees are a plusExperience in a Lean manufacturing environment is strongly preferredElectrical degree or bachelor’s degree preferred Equal Pay Act Statement We aim to pay our ‘ITT’ers’ fairly and competitively in the locations that they live and work.
