Discover Impactful Work:As part of the Hight Throughput Lab – HTP, within the Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific, the successful candidate will support the Oligonucleotide manufacturing operations.
A day in the Life:Lead, coach, and develop team , handle timecards and time off for subordinatesMonitor, track and provide feedback on employee performance through 1:1s and PMD process.Drive team to achieve goals and expectationsPromote safety culture by implementing policies and procedures as well as performing Safety Gemba walks.Lead and participate in Continues Improvement Initiatives – Practical Process Improvement (PPI) eventsLeverage process improvements for problem solving and root cause analysis for improvement or adherence to KPI targetsWork with Supervisors and Team Leads to achieve and maintain balanced training and cross training levels for the departmentUnderstand, review and update KPIs in the Daily Management Tier SystemProvide guidance, direction, and leadership for the areas of supervision to ensure that products are manufactured with the highest level of quality in a safe and timely manner that will meet or exceed our customer’s expectationRecommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product Support projects and NPIsCreate and promote an environment where employees can grow and develop into greater levels of contributionSupport our manufacturing operations in organization and execution of production flow as well as reporting and documentation of production resultsWork with Management, Oligo Support Center (OSC), Genomics Orders (GO) and Product managers about order’s priorities, specifications, and timelinesEngage and work successfully with Upper Management and cross-functional teamsResponsible for assisting Technical Leads & Team Leads with technical issues such as training, organization workflow, and troubleshooting production issues.Analyze production schedules and estimate hours and other requirements for completion of job assignment in a timely manner.Analyze and resolve work problems and support team in solving work problems.Keys to Success:EducationBachelors Degree requiredExperience2+ years Shown People Manager experience; developing, mentoring direct reports!3+ years laboratory experience or OLIGO manufacturing experienceExperience driving continuous improvement initiatives - change advocateLeading productivity, materials cost, and labor costWorking with Cross Functional teams; Supporting labs within value streamExperience with Root cause analysis & problem solving.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $90,900.00–$136,350.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
